Crazy Bunny

You will need:

Crochet hook
Sewing up needle
Wiggly eyes

Yarn:

Blue
White
Red
Pink
Brown or dark red


Size of finished toy is 7 inches long.

Body:

Do not join rounds

Use magic ring method or ch 2

1) 6 sc (6)

2) 2 sc in each sc around (12)

3) 1 sc in each sc around

Repeat rounds 2 and 3 for 1 more time.
6) [1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] around
7) 1 sc in each sc around
8) [1 sc in next 2 sc, 2sc in next sc] around
9) 1 sc in each sc around 

10-20) 1 sc in each sc around

21) [1 sc in next 2 sc, decrease sc in next 2 sc ] around

22) 1 sc in each sc around

Next thing you going to do, it is a hole for the mouth (work it not in the rounds but back and forward). Find the middle and put mark on the left and right sides (2st on the left and 2st on the right plus 1st in the middle).

23) Start to crochet each sc, stop by that pin, turn your work and go back to next pin. Turn.

24) Skip 1 st, 1sc each sc, do not sc last sc in that row, turn

Note: Continue work it that way for 2 more rows if you want bunny’s mouth wider.

25) Sc in each sc, decreasing sc in three places on the back

Ch8 and join with other side (you will work in the rounds again like you did before)

26-27) 1 sc in each sc around

Note: Fill body with fiberfill while decreasing.

Stop right there and make a mouth, put it inside the bode and saw lips on it.(maybe you want to stuff something inside mouth so it will keep shape after you will be done stuffing the body) Continue stuffing the body.

28) [1 sc in next 2 sc, decrease sc in next 2 sc ] around

29) 1 sc in each sc around

Keep [decrease sc in next 2 sc] around till hole is gone. Close. Cut the yarn, wave ends.

Mouth:

Do not join rounds

Use magic ring method or ch 2

1) 6 sc (6)

2) 2 sc in each sc around (12)

3) 1 sc in each sc around

4) 2 sc in each sc around (24)

5-8) 1 sc in each sc around (or as deep as you want bunny’s mouth to be)

9) Switch to the body color yarn and continue 1 sc in each sc around for 2-3 more rows.

Close. Cut the yarn, wave ends.

Make sure it fits inside the body :) 

Ears (2 parts):

Do not join rounds

Use magic ring method or ch 2

1) 6 sc (6)

2) [1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] around (9)

3) [1 sc in next 2 sc, 2sc in next sc] around (13)

4) [1 sc in next 3 sc, 2sc in next sc] around (16)

5-9) 1 sc in each sc around (16)

10) [Decrease sc in next 2 sc, 1 sc in next 3 sc] around (12)

11-14) 1 sc in each sc around (12)

Close. Do not stuff.

Note: if you would like ears longer, just keep sc around till you reach the desire length

Cut the yarn with tail size 8-10 inches.

Pink part for ears (2 parts):

At the end of each row ch1 (for the jump), skip that ch and crochet in sc

Ch 2

Row 1: 2 sc in 1^st ch (2)

Row 2: sc in each sc (2)

Row 3: [2 sc in next sc] 2 times (4)

Row 4-13: sc in each sc (4)

Row 14: Skip 1^st sc, [dc in next sc] 2 times, sl st

Close. Cut the yarn, wave ends.

Note: compare the pink part to the ear, make it longer if you want to.

Arms (2 parts):

Do not join rounds

Use magic ring method or ch 2

1) 6 sc (6)

2) [1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] around (9)

3) [1 sc in next 2 sc, 2sc in next sc] around (13)

4-5) 1 sc in each sc around

6) [1 sc in next 3 sc, 2sc in next sc] around (16)

7) 1 sc in each sc around

Close. Cut the yarn with tail size 8 inches. Stuff.

Legs (2 parts):

Do not join rounds

Use magic ring method or ch 2

1) 6 sc (6)

2) [1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] around (9)

4-5) 1 sc in each sc around

Close. Cut the yarn with tail size 8 inches. Stuff.

Tail:

3-4) 1 sc in each sc around

Close. Cut the yarn with tail size 8 inches. Stuff.

Eyes (2 parts):

Do not join rounds

Use magic ring method or ch 2

1) 6 sc (6)

2-3) 1 sc in each sc around

5) [Decrease sc in next 2 sc] around (3)

Close. Cut the yarn with tail size 8-10 inches. Stuff.

Teeth (2 parts):

Ch3, skip 1^st ch, sc next 2 st. Close. Tie a knot between those two ends (tail from the beginning of casting and tail at the end) Wave ends.

Tongue:

Ch4.

Row1: skip 1^st ch, sc next 3 st

Row 2-3: 1 sc in each sc

Row 4: Skip 1^st sc, dc in next sc, sl st

Close. Cut the yarn with tail size 8 inches.

Nose:

Ch5.

Row1: skip 1^st ch, sc next 4 st

Row 2: 1 sc in each sc

Close. Cut the yarn and wave ends.

Attach part to the body and the mouth. 

Glue wiggly eyes on it or just draw pupils with marker/pen.
